Police To Meet Residents Over Anti-Social Behaviour
Police have confirmed they are to meet with residents in L'derry this week over ongoing anti-social behaviour.
The move comes after residents from the Rosemount area staged a protest over the problem at the weekend.
Speaking to BBC Radio Foyle, PSNI Chief Inspector Jon Burrows said more neighbourhood police teams would be on duty at the weekends, but added that everyone had a responsibility to bring the issue under control.
He said: "There is a responsibility on people who are complaining about anti-social behaviour to engage with the police so that we can help them.
"We have amended the shift patterns of our neighbourhood teams so that they are on duty more often at the weekend."
"We are putting our money where our mouth is. These things happen across cities and towns across Northern Ireland, but we are committed to this," he continued.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

According to reports, the teenager was beaten with sticks by a group of three youths during more than an hour of disturbances close the North Queen Street interface on Saturday, 24 March. It is understood that a "crowd of people" watched the attack.
