Funeral Of Murdered Soldier To Be Held
The funeral of a soldier found dead at his barracks in March is to be held later today.
It is understood the funeral will be held at Ballywillan Presbyterian Church in Portrush, Co Antrim.
Corporal Geoffrey McNeill, from Ballymoney, was found dead at Clive Barracks, Tern Hill on 8 March. He was a member of the Royal Irish Regiment.
A fellow soldier, 23-year-old Lance/Corporal Richard Farrell, has been charged with the murder.

£17m To Support Pensioners Affected By Winter Fuel Payment Changes
Communities Minister Gordon Lyons has announced a £17 million fund to support pensioners who have lost eligibility for the Winter Fuel Payment due to recent UK government changes. The one-off £100 payment will be automatically issued to an estimated 250,000 pensioners in around 170,000 households before the end of March 2025.

Second Masserene Soldier Buried
The second of the two soldiers tragically murdered outside their barracks in Antrim was buried in London today. Sapper Patrick Azimkar, who is from the capital, was shot dead along with fellow soldier Mark Quinsey as they collected a fast-food delivery at the gates of Massareene Army base in Antrim, on 7 March.

Soldier Held Over NI Corporal Death
A 23-year-old serving soldier has been charged with murdering a Northern Irish corporal who was found dead at army barracks in England. Lance Corporal Richard Farrell has appeared in court accused of killing Cpl Geoffrey McNeill. He was remanded following his appearance at Telford Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

Couple Found Dead At House In County Down
A man and his wife have been found dead at a house in south Down in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The couple, which were in their late 30s, were found at the house at Edentrumly Road in Mayobridge, just outside Newry, shortly before 1.00am. A police spokeswoman has said that a legally held firearm was recovered from the house.
