Plans For New Ice Rink Unveiled
A planning application to replace Dundonald Ice Bowl with a new complex has been submitted.
According to reports, Castlereagh Council has submitted the application for the site which is located on the outskirts of Belfast.
The application says the new centre would be a "flagship development" and would feature an "Olympic standard" ice rink.
It is understood, if the plans are approved, that the demolition of the current ice bowl would be phased. The site would also include an NHS health and well-bring centre.
The Council has previously said the new development would be completed by 2017.
The cost of the centre has not been revealed.
