Police search for Lisburn 'flasher'

Police in Lisburn are appealing for information following reports that a man has been exposing himself to young women throughout the town.

The incidents are said to have begun at the start of May with the majority of these being reported in and around the Magheralave Road area.

Police have released a description of man they're hoping will be able to help with enquiries. He is described as being between 30-40 years-old, 5'8' to 5'11' in height, slim to medium build with dark hair, slightly bald on top and short to the sides. He is also said to wear fine-rimmed glasses, with a long face and nose and a tanned unshaven look.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Appeal Issued For Missing Lisburn Man Thomas McKeown
The PSNI in Lisburn have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of Thomas McKeown. The 52-year-old was last seen at around 11.12am in the centre of Lisburn on Tuesday 11 June. Police said that Thomas is a "vulnerable adult" and they are keen to trace his current whereabouts.

Man Dies In Co L'Derry House Fire
A man aged in his 50s has died in a house fire in Magherafelt, Co L'Derry An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire at a house on Highfield Road, however police said that they don't believe the fire was suspicious. The man's identity has not yet been released.

Police Cancel Appeal For Missing Omagh Man
Police have said they believe missing Omagh man, Shane Sharkey, has been found in the Republic of Ireland. A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is. No further details have been released but police thanked the public for their help.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of George Gilmore
A 39-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of George Gilmore. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. The suspect was detained in Co Antrim on Wednesday, 12 April, and is being questioned at Musgrave police station.
