£288k Belfast Road Improvement Scheme Due
A £288,000 road improvement scheme for Bloomfield Road in Belfast is scheduled to begin on Monday 12 May 2014.
The resurfacing scheme between Grand Parade and Beersbridge Road is expected to be completed in early July 2014.
Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy said: "The scheme will provide greatly improved carriageway and footway surfaces."
A one-way road closure from Grand Parade towards Beersbridge Road will be in place from Monday 12 May at 06:00. The closure will remain in place for the duration of the scheme.
Diversion routes will be signed via North Road, Upper Newtownards Road and Beersbridge Road.
Access for residents will be maintained during the improvements.
During the final stages of the scheme a full road closures will be necessary to complete the final carriageway surface.

Two Road Improvement Schemes For Newcastle
Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has said work is to commence next week on two road improvement schemes in Newcastle, Co Down. The schemes will total £324,000. Work on a £270,000 resurfacing scheme on the U6208 Shimna Road, Newcastle, and a £54,000 resurfacing scheme on Park Avenue, Newcastle, is to start on Monday 13 January 2014.

Belfast Road Improvement Scheme Confirmed
A road improvement scheme for Waterloo Park North and South in Belfast is set to begin on Monday, 22 May. The £166,000 scheme will include resurfacing of the carriageways and reconstruction of footways. Work will be carried out from Monday to Friday between 09.30am and 4.30pm.
