Man Robbed By Thieves With Screwdriver
A man has been robbed and had valuable electronic items stolen by thieves armed with a screwdriver.
The man was walking through a pedestrian tunnel at Belmont Road near Cunningham Way in Antrim on Wednesday morning at about 10:45, when two men approached him.
He was forced to hand over his rucksack, which contained a Dell laptop computer, a Canon EOS6d camera and lens and a Samsung S5 mobile phone.
Police said one of the attackers was in his late 20s, around 5'8" tall of slim build with short shaven fair hair. He was wearing a red jacket and blue jeans.
The second male was described as being mid-20s, slightly shorter than his accomplice, of slim build with short brown hair. He was wearing a navy coloured zip up hooded top and blue jeans.
Man Attempts To Snatch Child, County Tyrone
Police have begun searching for a man who tried to snatch a child from the garden of a property in Cookstown, County Tyrone.
The incident occurred at about 17:45 on Wednesday while the child was playing in the garden of a home in the Drumenny Road area of Coagh.
The man drove into the driveway, got out of the car and grabbed the child's arm. The child's mother then appeared and chased the man away.
The man is described as being in his late 50s, 5ft 8" tall with short grey curly hair. He was wearing a long sleeve red jumper and dirty jeans.
He was driving an dark blue car, police said, with five-spoke alloy wheels and a red letter 'S' on the boot.
Woman Assaulted By Bogus Caller
A woman has been assaulted in her home in west Belfast after a bogus caller called at the house claiming to be "from the Water Board".
The man called to the house in the Ballaghbeg area at about 09:00. When the woman answered the door, he pushed past her, assaulted her and demanded money, before ransacking the house.
The man then ran off empty-handed in the direction of the Glen Road.

Army Remove Device In Banbridge GAA Alert
A 'viable' pipe bomb has been found at a GAA ground in County Down. The bomb was found during an overnight alert at the ground on the Ballela Road outside Banbridge. Police have since described the device as "viable" and it has now been removed by the Army Technical Officers.
