Motorcyclist Killed In Collision, Portaferry

A motorcyclist has been killed in a two-vehicle crash in the seaside town of Portaferry, County Down.

The 36-year-old died in the collision on the Deerpark Road on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said a blue and white Yamaha R1 motorcycle and a white BMW 3 series car were involved.

Officers have appealed for information from anyone who witnessed the incident, which occurred at around 14:10, to get in touch via the non-emergency number 101.

Man Dies In Newry Road Crash

A 68-year-old man has died following a road crash in Newry. Wilfred Vaughan Chambers was killed after three vehicles collided in the Windsor Hill area at around 15:00 on Tuesday.

Another man was taken to hospital, but his injuries are believed to be not life-threatening.

Police said: "Officers from the Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them in Steeple on the non-emergency number 101. The road remains closed at this time."

Pair Arrested Over Car Theft Charged

Two people arrested following the theft of a car that was then set alight in L'Derry have been charged.

A grey Audi was taken from the Hinton Park area, off the Limavady Road, on Tuesday morning and was later discovered on fire at Creevagh Park, Letterkenny Road at around 05:00.

Police arrested the pair, aged 21 and 17, on suspicion of burglary, vehicle theft and arson about an hour later.

Woman Convicted Of Benefit Fraud, Lurgan

A woman from Lurgan, County Armagh, has been convicted at Craigavon Magistrates' Court for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

54-year-old Bernadette Mullan of Richmount Gardens, Lurgan claimed Jobseekers Allowance, Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £9,069 while failing to declare she was living with her partner. She was given a six month probation order and ordered to pay court costs of £52.

She will also have to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.

Man Killed In Co Antrim Road Collision Named
A man who died in a road collision in Co Antrim has been named as Kamil Gervenka. The crash occurred on the Portglenone Road in Randalstown at around 12.15am on Sunday, 23 October. It is believed he was originally from Slovakia and worked in the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A man has died in a road crash in Co Fermanagh. The one-vehicle collision happened on the Tattymacall Road in Lisbellaw at approximately 5.10pm on Monday, 05 September. The road has been re-opened. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
