Arrest Over Portstewart Death
A man has been arrested in connection with an investigation into the death of a woman at a house in Portstewart, Co Londonderry.
The death in the Knockancor Drive area was reported to police just before 13:30 on Wednesday afternoon.
The woman has been named locally as Margaret Evans, the previous owner of a hairdressing salon in the town.
Police Investigate 'Creeper' Burglary, Lisburn
Police are currently investigating a 'creeper' burglary in the Church Glen area of Lisburn.
A silver Volkswagen Passat car was stolen in the early hours of Thursday, 29 May. The car was then found abandoned in the Hillhall Road area, sparking a security alert.
NI Businesses Invited to 'Meet The Buyer'
Northern Ireland businesses are being invited to an upcoming event to hear about potential contracting opportunities from the regeneration of Girdwood Park in north Belfast.
An information session is taking place on Tuesday 17 June in the Lanyon Suite at the Crumlin Road Gaol for companies to find out about sub-contracting and supply chain work from projects at the site, including Girdwood Hub and the creation of social housing units.
The 'Meet the Buyer' event has been organised by Belfast City Council in partnership with the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) and Apex Housing Association.
NI Lose 2-0 To Chile
Chile have secured a 2-0 victory over Northern Ireland as part of their preparations before this summer's World Cup.
Michael O'Neill's visiting team managed to keep a clean sheet for some 80 minutes against the home side, before goals by Chilean substitutes Eduardo Vargas and Mauricio Pinilla.
The match followed Northern Ireland's 1-0 defeat in Uruguay last week.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

NI Drug Deaths Double
The number of drug related deaths registered each year has more than doubled over the last decade rising from 39 deaths in 1997 to 86 last year. The 86 fatalities were registered in Northern Ireland where the cause of death was drug related, either due to legal or illegal drugs.

Charity calls for cardiac checks in NI
A leading local charity has expressed concern that measures to combat sudden cardiac deaths will be introduced in England but not in Northern Ireland. The Health Secretary, Dr John Reid, recently announced that screening will be introduced for close family members of sudden cardiac death syndrome victims in England.

Hundreds of offensive weapons seized at airport
Customs officers have seized the largest ever single consignment of “potentially offensive weapons” destined for Northern Ireland. Swords, knives, death stars, machetes and bladed knuckle-dusters were just some of the 338 weapons seized by officers on Thursday in a consignment which arrived in Northern Ireland on a flight from New Jersey in the US.
