Men Arrested Over Explosion At Petrol Station

Police have arrested two men in connection with the attempted robbery of an ATM at a petrol station in Hamiltonsbawn, Co Armagh.

Police say that an explosive device was used to try and dislodge the cash machine at the Costcutter shop and filling station.

The device exploded at about 02:30 on Friday morning.

Army bomb disposal team was called to make the area safe.

14 Calls To Hate Crime Phone Line Since Launch

Fourteen calls have been made to the dedicated PSNI hate crime phone line, which was launched just over two weeks ago.

The phone line was set up as part of an ongoing operation to tackle increasing incidents of hate crime in Northern Ireland.

The PSNI launched Operation Reiner at the beginning of May, and have since made 13 arrests related to racist attacks. Five people have been charged to date.

Plane Makes Emergency Landing At City Airport

A Citywing twin propeller plane has made an emergency landing at George Best Belfast City Airport.

It is understood that the plane had just taken off from the airport and was bound for the Isle of Man when it turned and made a landing on the main runway.

The plane was carrying five passengers. There are no reports of injuries.

The cause of the emergency landing is not yet known.

Justice Minister Naomi Long is urging victims of online hate crimes to file a report to police to allow them to get the support they need. Ms Long encouraged members of the public to "call it out" and help police catch online perpetrators at an Online Hate Crime Event at Belfast City Hall.

Major Drug Bust In Omagh Linked To INLA
Detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force have made a significant drug seizure in Omagh. Officers searched a van in the Doogary Road area on Thursday morning, 21st November, and recovered a substantial quantity of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of £750,000.
