Strabane family in gun attack ordeal
A couple and their two young children have escaped injury following a gun attack on their Co Tyrone home last night.
The incident occurred at Linkside Close, in the Ballycolman estate in Strabane at around 11.30pm on Wednesday evening when at least two masked men tried to get through the back door of the house and broke a window.
When the woman and her partner went to look downstairs the men fired a shot into the air.
The men then fled the scene across a nearby field firing another shot as they left.
The woman's two daughter's, aged five and three, were in bed at the time.
Police have not ruled out paramilitary involvement but have called on anyone with information to contact them.

Detectives in Belfast are investigating a suspected arson attack on a 5G mast in the Andersonstown Road area. The incident occurred around 9.55pm on Wednesday, November 13th. Detective Sergeant Faulkner confirmed that officers attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, who successfully extinguished the blaze.

Couple shot at by masked men
A couple were recovering today after they were shot at by two masked men in east Belfast last night. The man and his wife were leaving a club on Sandbrook Avenue at around 11.15pm when they were approached by two masked men. One man pointed a gun at the couple and a shot was fired.

Woman Assaulted During Aggravated Burglary In Newtownabbey
A woman has been assaulted during an aggravated burglary in Newtownabbey. A number of masked and armed men forced entry to a property in the Forthill Drive area at around 10.15pm on Wednesday, 19 September. A woman who was in the house at the time was attacked and sustained an injury to her lip. Three other people in the property were not injured.
