100 Jobs Created At Belfast IT Centre

100 jobs are expected to be created by the development of an IT centre in Belfast.

CVS Caremark Corporation’s Northern Ireland Development Centre, which opened in 2012, creates software solutions for all parts of the US IT company.

Invest Northern Ireland has offered £725,000 of assistance for the jobs, which will pay above the private sector average and are expected contribute around £3.3m a year in salaries to the economy.

Enterprise and Investment Minister Arlene Foster said: "This expansion solidifies CVS Caremark Northern Ireland as an integral part of CVS Caremark’s global IT services. The Belfast centre has an excellent track record, having quickly established credibility and influence within the wider corporation."

Ronan O’Loan, CVS Caremark’s Senior Vice President Talent & Organizational Effectiveness, said: "At CVS Caremark our purpose is helping people on their path to better health. Attracting, developing and retaining top IT professionals are key differentiators that enable us to create innovative health care solutions which align to that purpose. Northern Ireland is a proven source of great IT talent and we are delighted to offer even more career opportunities at our development centre here in Belfast."
