Queen Begins Three-Day Visit

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are to arrive in Northern Ireland today for a three-day visit.

They will attend a number of public engagements from Monday (23 June) until 25 June.

As part of their tour, they will visit Belfast's Crumlin Road Gaol, as well as the set of hit television series Game of Thrones, which is located in the Titanic Quarter of the city. They will also attend a lunch at Belfast City Hall, and a Royal British Legion reception in Coleraine.

It is understood the Royal couple's first engagement however, will be at Hillsborough Castle, where they will meet with First Minister Peter Robinson, deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness and Secretary of State Theresa Villiers.

The Queen last visited Northern Ireland in 2012 as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Prince Charles And Camilla Begin Two-Day Visit To NI
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are in Northern Ireland for a two-day visit. Prince Charles and Camilla toured a visitor centre dedicated to the memory of poet Seamus Heaney. During their trip they will also visit County Antrim and Hillsborough and move to Dublin and Kilkenny in Ireland.

Queen To Visit NI
Buckingham Palace has announced that Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh will be visiting Northern Ireland this month for a series of public engagements. The Royal visit will take place between June 23 and June 25, with further details to be announced in due course.

Royal Visitors Meet Former Police Officers
Better weather greeted the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh as they began the second day of their NI visit today. The royal couple have visited a centre which helps retired police officers make the transition back to civilian life. The saw at first hand the work of the Police Rehabilitation and Retraining Trust in Holywood.
