Man Charged With Creeper Burglaries

A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with a number of creeper burglaries.

The incidents happened in Co Antrim earlier this month.

The man, who has not been named, is charged with two counts of burglary and one count of attempted burglary.

Properties in the Ballycarry, Glenarm and Greenisland areas had been targeted, with car keys being taken from inside the homes before the intruders escaped in the vehicles.

The accused is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Appeal After Chemicals Are Stolen

Police have launched an appeal after chemicals were stolen from a lab in south Belfast on Thursday.

The theft happened around around 11.40am yesterday (26 June).

It is thought that four containers of a chemical, 'Silicagel 60A for flash chromatography', were taken from the laboratory on the Malone Road.

The containers may have a blue, red or white life and small, white rectangular labels on the front.

In its dry form, the substance is a very fine white powder and has the potential to cause damage to lungs if inhaled.

Snow Patrol Star Announces Engagement

Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid has confirmed his engagement to Courteney Cox.

The 37-year-old guitarist, who hails from Derry, revealed the news via his Twitter account on Thursday night.

He shared a photo of the couple together, alongside the caption: "I'm engaged to her."

Cox, 50, shared the same image with the caption: "I'm engaged to him."

The couple started dating last year after being introduced by their mutual friend Ed Sheeran.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.

Man Extradited From Ireland To Face Serious Charges
A 33-year-old man has been extradited from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland to face serious charges. The man is accused of assault causing harm, coercive control, contravention of a safety order, theft, and possession of a weapon. The alleged offences occurred in the Monaghan area between 2020 and 2021.

Three Arrested In Connection With £250,000 Drug Seizure
Detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Unit have made a significant drug seizure, arresting three individuals and recovering approximately £250,000 worth of suspected Class B controlled drugs. The arrests were made on Monday, 18 November, following a series of operations.
