'Viable' Bomb Found, Killough
Workmen in Killough, County Down have uncovered a 'viable' bomb while working on Thursday afternoon.
A security alert was sparked by the discovery in the Rossglass Road area of the village.
Police and army bomb squad officers arrived at the scene after the workers made the discovery and raised the alarm. A number of properties were also evacuated, but the families have since been allowed to return home.
Tests were carried out on the device and it was later declared viable. Police then said they believed it may have been in place for several years.
The discovery at Killough follows a separate security alert at Thiepval Army Barracks in Lisburn, County Antrim.

Security Alert In South Belfast Declared A Hoax
A security alert in south Belfast has been declared a "hoax". Army bomb experts and police attended the scene at Windsor Drive on Friday morning. A controlled explosion was carried out on a suspicious device but was declared a hoax. All roads in the area have reopened.

Police Station Alert Discovered To Be A Hoax
A security alert has ended after a suspicious object found in a car close to an east Belfast police station was declared an "elaborate hoax". Residents in the Woodstock Road area had to evacuate their homes at about 21:00 on Sunday evening, while nearby Church services were also interrupted.

Viable Device Found In Co Tyrone
A viable device has been found following a security alert near Strabane, County Tyrone. A device was found on Ballyheather Road on Tuesday. The road has now been re-opened between the junctions of the Lisdivin Road and Clogher Road. Police and army bomb experts attended the scene.
