Weather Warning Issued For NI
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for parts of Northern Ireland.
The warning affects counties Antrim, Armagh and Down.
According to the forecasters, heavy, slow-moving showers are expected to develop over the course of the day and will move across the east of the region. Heavy rain is expected in Ballyclare, Newtownabbey and Belfast.
In a statement, the Met Office said: "The public should be aware of possible surface water flooding, although, as is often the case in such situations, many places will escape the heaviest downpours.
"The public is advised to take extra care."
New Dialling Codes For Cities
Belfast and Londonderry are to receive new dialling codes.
It is understood the number 028 96 will be added to the Belfast region, and will join the existing 028 90 and 028 95 codes. In L'derry, the number 028 72 will be added to the existing 028 71 code.
Ofcom said the move will "ensure sufficient availability of telephone numbers to meet consumers' needs in those cities for the foreseeable future."
Existing phone numbers will not be affected by the move, while new landline connections in both cities could be allocated numbers with the respective dialling codes.
Appeal Following Armed Robbery
Detectives have appealed for information following an armed robbery in East Belfast.
At around 9.10pm on Monday (7 July), two men entered a shop in the Ravenhill Road area of the city. No one was injured in the incident, but the men made off with a sum of cash.
The first man is thought to have been armed with a suspected knife. He is described as being in his early 20s, about 5'8" tall and of slim build. He was wearing a dark Parka style jacket with fur lined hood, a fur lined Russian style hat, dark blue jeans and white trainers.
The second man is said to have been armed with a hammer. He is also thought to be in his early 20s, approximately 5'8" or 5'9" tall and of slim build. He was wearing a dark blue and light blue two-tone jacket, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
