Woman Convicted Of Benefit Fraud
A woman has been convicted at Londonderry Magistrates' Court for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.
Sharon Webb, 52, of Esker Gardens, Londonderry, claimed Income Support, Employment and Support Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £8,207 while failing to declare she was living with her partner.
She was given a two-month prison sentence suspended for a year and ordered to pay courts costs of £61. She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
Further Success At Commonwealth Games
Sports Minister Carál Ní Chuilín has congratulated the men's triple Bowls Team taking part in this year's Commonwealth Games.
The NI team secured a silver medal on Monday morning.
The trio – Neil Booth, Paul Daly and Neil Mulholland – lost out to South Africa in the final at the Kelvingrove Lawn Bowls centre in Glasgow.
Minister Ní Chuilín said: "While the bowlers will be disappointed in losing out to South Africa in the final, they can be proud of their achievements this week and their hard work in preparing for the games has been justly rewarded with a silver medal. It's a fantastic achievement and I congratulate the trio on their success."
Missing Woman Found Safe And Well
A woman who was reported missing has been found safe and well.
Emma Rafferty, 33, was last seen in the Sandys Street area of Newry on Wednesday 23 July.
She was said to have close connections in the city as well as Carlingford.
Over the weekend, police issued an update confirming she had been found safe.

A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Pensioner attacked during burglary of her home
A 90-year-old woman was assaulted during a burglary of her home in Ballygowan, Co Down last night. The woman was confronted by a teenager after hearing noise in her kitchen. The youth then assaulted the elderly woman before escaping into an alley at the back of the house. Police believe an accomplice then joined the assailant.

Missing Tyrone Woman Found Safe And Well
Missing Tyrone woman Lyndsey Rankin has been found safe and well. A major search operation launched in west Tyrone after the 28-year-old went missing from the Killen area. She was last seen at around 9.45pm on Monday, 02 October.

An elderly woman who went missing from Craigavon Hospital in County Armagh has been found "safe and well". 76-year-old Edith Hall went missing from the Medical Admissions Unit at Craigavon Hospital on Tuesday. She was last seen wearing a blue dressing gown and a dark blue fleece. Police confirmed she turned up "safe and well".

Missing Woman 'Found Safe'
A woman who went missing over the weekend has been found "safe and well", police have confirmed. Leontia Teague, 21, was last seen in the Chapel Lane area of Belfast on Saturday (3 January) at around lunchtime. An appeal was launched after concerns grew about her disappearance.
