Police Vehicle Contracts Arrest - Man Released
A 54-year-old member of police staff who was arrested in County Antrim as part of ongoing investigations into the awarding of vehicle contracts has been released.
The man was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and has been taken to a police station in Belfast for questioning.
The move followed the arrest of seven men earlier this year, including a 48-year-old police officer, a retired police officer and a 37-year-old member of police staff.
The PSNI said the police officer and 37-year-old have been suspended.
Detectives are also preparing files on all seven suspects for submission to the Public Prosecution Service
A further file is being prepared on a 49-year-old man following inquiries into bribery and misconduct in public office, as initiated by the investigation. The man voluntarily attended a police station in Belfast last week for interview.
