Cannabis Factory Discovered In South Belfast
A large cannabis-growing outfit has been discovered by police during the search of a property in south Belfast.
Officers searched the Ventry Street property on Monday and discovered plants with an estimated value of £85,000.
Detective Chief Inspector Colin Gillis from Musgrave Police Station said: "Police in South Belfast are working with communities to tackle the supply and distribution of drugs.
"Keeping people safe is our number one priority and the discovery of this cannabis factory is another example of this.
"Drugs destroy lives, are a scourge on society and I would appeal to all members of the community to report any suspicious activity to police on the non-emergency number 101."

Man arrested after drugs find
Police seized a large quantity of Class A drugs, following a planned search at a premises in south Belfast yesterday. An amount of suspected Ecstasy and cocaine, with an estimated street value of £120,000, was recovered during the raid. A 47-year-old man has been arrested and charged with possession of Class A drugs, with intent to supply.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Arrests Reported By Police
Police have made arrests in two separate cases, one involving drugs and the other alleged dissident republican activities. The PSNI uncovered a cannabis factory in south Belfast, which followed a search of premises at Finaghy Road South last night. Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £100,000 were seized.

Cannabis Cultivation Farm Discovered In South Belfast
Police have discovered a cannabis cultivation farm in south Belfast while investigating a burglary. Detectives were called to the Mealough Road in Carryduff following reports of a burglary. However, an officer noticed a shed nearby and on closer inspection, found 120 cultivation pots inside aluminium trailers.
