Major Belfast centre gas leak causes office chaos
Hundreds of workers have been evacuated from their offices following a serious gas leak in Belfast.
It is believed that a digger struck a gas main in Donegall Quay causing part of Belfast city centre to be closed off.
Fire crews and Pheonix Natural Gas have been tasked to the scene.
Road diversions were initially put in place with roads closed at Donegall Quay, Corporation Street, York Street, Great Patrick Street, Waring Street, Custom House Square, Victoria Street and the M3 flyover. However, they have now been reopened.
The gas supply in the area is expected to be cut off shortly however workers are unlikely to get back to work for several hours.

A number of roads remain closed across Northern Ireland following the damage caused by Storm Ali. The following roads are still closed, however the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) is working to clear the obstructions along with its multiagency partners.

Marathon organisers warn of traffic disruption
Organisers of this year's 22nd Belfast City Marathon are warning motorists of the expected traffic disruption throughout most of Bank Holiday Monday. Disruption can be expected along the routes of both the main Belfast City Marathon and the associated Fun Run which begins at City Hall.

Gas Storage To Be Built Under Lough
A £440m gas storage facility is to be built a mile underneath Larne Lough. The development will enable 500m cubic metres of natural gas to be stored in caverns underneath the lough. The new bank will be able to hold enough gas to provide energy for Northern Ireland for sixty days.
