17-Year-Old Shot In Both Legs
A 17-year-old boy has been shot in both legs in Ballymagroarty in L'Derry.
Police said the youth was attacked at about 23:15 on Monday night at a green area behind flats in O'Riada Court.
The teenager is being treated in hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
An investigation is underway.

Work Underway For Free Hospital Parking In Northern Ireland
Work has begun at several hospital sites across Northern Ireland as part of the preparations for the introduction of free car parking in May 2026. Health and Social Care Trusts have been actively preparing for the implementation of a new traffic management system since the Hospital Parking Charges Act was passed in 2022.

Teenager Shot In Both Legs In West Belfast
A 16-year-old boy has been shot in both legs in west Belfast. The attack happened in the Aitnamona Crescent area at around 8.50pm on Sunday, 18 December. He is being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Police described the assault as "blatant child abuse".

Appeal For Information On Newtownards Assault
Police in Newtownards have issued an appeal for information following a serious assault in the town on Sunday 02 January. According to police, a man aged in his 20s, was attacked by up to four men armed with "poles" in an alleyway close to Glenbrook Road at about 19:45. The victim suffered injuries to his head, legs, arms and hands.

The PSNI have launched an investigation after a man was shot in both legs at Bog Meadows in the St James area of west Belfast. Police say the shooting happened at about 20:00 on Monday. The victim is being treated at Royal Victoria Hospital, where his condition is described as stable. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
