Police renew appeal over Gregg murder
Police have renewed their appeal for information into the shooting of leading UDA member John Gregg, six months on from his killing.
Gregg (45) was gunned down by rival loyalists during an ambush in the docks area of Belfast. Three other men escaped injury during the incident however fellow UDA member Robert Carson was not so fortunate dying of his gun shot wounds shortly afterwards.
Police say they have spoken to most of the 1,200 passengers who travelled on the same Stena HSS that evening. However, a number of people have still to come forward.
Police also want to speak to anyone who may have been in the Docks area at the time of the incident.
Both men were on their way home from a Glasgow Rangers football match when the incident occurred.
February's shooting took place as part of a feud within the UDA, which commenced following the decision made by UDA leadership last September to expel lower Shankill leader Johnny Adair and his associate John White.
Many of Adair's supporters fled to England and Scotland after being forced out of Belfast, with many, including Adair's wife Gina, now residing in Bolton.
