Newry Directors File Disqualification Undertakings
Disqualification undertakings have been accepted by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment on behalf of two Newry directors of a general construction company.
Undertakings for four years were received from 33-year-old Ciaran Peter Morgan of Benagh Road, Mayobridge, Newry and for three years from Peter Francis Morgan, 64, also of Benagh Road, Mayobridge, Newry in respect of their conduct as directors of CP Morgan Contracts Ltd.
The move follows an incident in which the company carried out business as a ground works company readying sites for building work from Aughnagon Road, Newry.
It went into liquidation on 24 March 2011 with estimated total assets available for creditors of £0, liabilities to non preferential creditors of £230,710 and an estimated deficiency to creditors of £230,710.
The Department accepted the disqualification undertakings from Ciaran Peter Morgan and Peter Francis Morgan on 28 August 2014.
The Department has accepted 19 Disqualification Undertakings and the Court has made four orders disqualifying directors in the financial year commencing 1 April 2014.

SDLP's Martin Morgan takes Belfast Lord Mayor post
The SDLP's Martin Morgan has become Belfast's new Lord Mayor. The north Belfast councillor, who replaces Sinn Fein's Alex Maskey, was voted in during a ballot of councillors at City Hall last night. Mr Morgan beat the UUP's Bob Stoker and DUP's Robin Newton to the top post.
