Road traffic accident claims woman's life

A woman has died following a road traffic accident in Co Fermanagh early this morning.

The 40-year-old woman was driving along the Loughshore Road between Enniskillen and Belleek when her vehicle was involved in a collision with another car at around 1am on Monday morning.

A young girl, who was passenger in the woman's car, was taken to hospital to be treated for her injuries, which are not thought to be serious.

SDLP councillor for the area, Tommy Gallagher, described the death as "tragic" and called for people to take extra care on road's their unfamiliar with.

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.
