Steps 2 Success Programme Begins

Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry today announced the commencement of Steps 2 Success, a new employment programme for Northern Ireland.

The new programme will support the assistance already available to jobseekers through the Department’s Employment Service Advisers.

Minister Farry said: "My Department is committed to helping unemployed people find and sustain employment and Steps 2 Success is now the main adult return to work provision.

"Steps 2 Success will give jobseekers access to a personalised service, providing them with the help and support they require to move into sustainable employment. This is a major change in the way we help people, focussing on providing more flexible support for individual’s needs and their barriers to work."

The new programme includes a range of support mechanisms for participants including a Progression to Employment Plan.
