Rise In Households Presenting As Homeless
The number of households presenting as homeless to the Northern Ireland Housing Executive rose by 3% to 4,895 over the period April to June 2014. This is an increase of 155 from the previous quarter.
The figures are part of a report entitled 'Northern Ireland Housing Bulletin April - June 2014' published by the Department for Social Development.
During the quarter ending 31 March 2014, 266 new National House Building Council (NHBC) registered dwellings were sold, indicating a rise of 15% on the same period in 2013.
The average price of NHBC-registered new dwellings for the quarter ending March 2014 was £140,100 indicating an increase of 1% on the previous quarter (£138,900).
