Ulster Orchestra Say Future Looking 'Very Hopeful'

The future of the Ulster Orchestra has been described as "very hopeful" following the securing of funding announced yesterday.

The orchestra had faced permanent closure after discovering a gap of £500,000 in its funding.

According to reports the orchestra will now receive £400,000 from Stormont and £100,000 from Belfast City Council.

It is understood the money from Stormont is made up of a redistribution of unused budgets.
