10,000 ecstasy tablets recovered by police
Police have recovered 10,000 ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of £10,000 in north Belfast last night.
The drugs were recovered after a car was stopped at Fortwilliam Park at around 9pm on Thursday night.
A 22-year-old man, who was driving the car, ran off but was later apprehended and arrested by police. He is currently helping them with their enquiries.
Meanwhile, a teenager has suffered gun shot wounds to both legs after a paramilitary-style attack in east Belfast last night.
The 17-year-old was forced into an alleyway at Gawn Street, off the Newtownards Road where the shooting took place.

Police have launched an investigation following the death of a man in west Belfast. The man's body was discovered in the Paris Street area on Sunday night. Police said they are not treating the death as suspicious. A post-mortem is to be carried out to establish the cause of death.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man's Body Recovered From Bangor Marina
Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was recovered from Bangor Marina on Wednesday, 13 May. Police received a report that a man had entered the water shortly after 10.15am. Emergency services and police attended the scene and the body was recovered from the water. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

It has been claimed this morning that the cost of replacing a bus taken from a female bus driver in Newtownabbey and burned by rioters will be as much as £200,000. The woman was shaken but uninjured after she was dragged from her vehicle by a gang of masked men yesterday evening during a second night of rioting in Newtownabbey.
