Two Men Shot At Wedding

An investigation is underway after two men were injured in a shooting at a wedding in Newtownbutler, Co Fermanagh.

According to reports, the shooting happened at about 13:00 on Wednesday in the grounds of St Mary's Catholic church.

Two men are being treated for their injuries at Enniskillen's South West Acute hospital.

Man Shot Dead At Wedding Is Named
Police have revealed the name of a man who was shot dead at a wedding in Co Fermanagh on Wednesday. Barney McGinley, who was in his 60s, was shot close to St Mary's Catholic Church in the village of Newtownbutler at around 1pm yesterday (11 February). He was airlifted to hospital by a PSNI helicopter, but later died from his injuries.

TWO men have been arrested in connection with a violent dispute at a double wedding in Strabane which saw one man shot and another stabbed. The disturbances occurred at around 1pm on Wednesday 18 July prior to the arrival of the brides, who were due to take part in a double wedding at St Mary’s Catholic Church on the Melmount Road.
