AJ Power Aims To Increase Middle East Sales

AJ Power, the Craigavon based manufacturer of diesel generating equipment, expects to increase sales in the Middle East by upwards of 50 per cent this year.

The company, which has taken part in a series of Invest Northern Ireland trade missions to the Middle East, has opened a sales and technical support office in Dubai to build on a significant rise in business there during 2014. Invest NI provided advice and practical support to assist the company in setting up the office and developing new contacts in Saudi Arabia.

Dr Vicky Kell, Invest NI Trade Director said: "Setting up an office is Dubai is a very significant commitment by AJ Power to what is a very dynamic marketplace with immense potential for this company and other Northern Ireland businesses. The base in Dubai will enable AJ Power to pinpoint and respond quickly to new business opportunities and to service existing clients faster in the Middle East.

"Our teams in the Gulf States have extensive knowledge and experience of doing business throughout the Middle East and can help companies in developing business and also on the legal and other requirements involved in setting up a base in Dubai."
