Clarke in jubilant mood following WGC win
Dungannon's Darren Clarke was in jubilant mood today after clinching the WGC-NEC Invitational tournament in the US yesterday.
Clarke won the tournament by four clear shots, five ahead of fierce rival Tiger Woods.
The Ulsterman is the first player, besides Woods, to have won more than one WGC event. His first win was the WGC-Accenture Matchplay in 2000.
Sunday's victory was the 35-year-old's first tournament win in 14 months and netted him a massive first prize of £650,000.
"To win a tournament this important, I feel pretty good, especially after all the work I've put in," he said.
"I was in a world of my own out there. I was wandering along and hitting my shots. This was the best I have ever prepared for a tournament."
