Stranmillis Road Improvements To Begin
A road improvement project worth £120,000 is set to begin in the Stranmillis area of Belfast.
The work will be carried out on a section of the Sharman Road.
Work will begin on Monday (23 February) and is expected to be completed by mid-March.
The scheme will involve temporary traffic management in places, but local access will be maintained for residents.
Transport Minister Danny Kennedy said: "Residents in the area will benefit from significant improvements to the carriageway and footway."
Warning Of Snow Issued For NI
The Met Office has issued a 'yellow' weather alert for Northern Ireland this weekend.
The weather forecaster has said there is a risk of rain, sleet and snow showers for the region, which could lead to icy patches. There is also a chance snow could settle inland on higher ground.
The warning will be in place from 8pm on Friday (20 February) until 10am on Saturday.
A second alert has also been issued for Monday when wintery showers are also expected. Motorists are being warned to expect hazardous driving conditions and possible traffic disruption.
Time To Question Wedding Suspect Extended
Police have been granted more time to question a suspect in relation to the murder of a man in Co Fermanagh last week.
Barney McGinley, 63, was shot outside a church in Newtownbutler last Wednesday (11 February) where a wedding was taking place at the time. Mr McGinley was airlifted to hospital in a PSNI helicopter but died from his injuries.
On Wednesday (18 February), detectives said a 46-year-old man had been arrested in Belfast and was being questioned in relation to the incident.
The man can be held until early on Saturday (21 February).
Two Men Convicted Of Benefit Fraud
Two men have been convicted at Londonderry Magistrates' Court for claiming benefits they were not entitled to.
Neil Duddy, 27, of Abbots Walk in L'Derry, claimed Jobseekers Allowance totalling £3,785 while failing to declare employment. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge.
Shane Quinn, 26, of Windridge Drive in L'Derry, claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £3,620 while failing to declare employment. He was given a 24-month conditional discharge.
Mr Duddy and Mr Quinn also also required to pay back any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.

Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.
