Belfast City Council Invites Local Firms To Welcome Lunch
Local companies and those transferring to Belfast City Council under local government reform are invited to a special welcome lunch at City Hall next week.
The 'Welcome to Belfast' business lunch will take place in the Banqueting Hall on Wednesday 4 March from 12noon to 1.30pm.
It will be an opportunity for new businesses to find out about the council's business support initiatives and procurement opportunities in the city and meet with officers from various council departments including Economic Development, Procurement, Environmental Health, Super-connected Belfast and the Health and Safety Advice Service.
Councillor Deirdre Hargey, Presiding Councillor for the new Belfast City Council, said: "On April 1, around 1,000 businesses from Lisburn and Castlereagh will be transferring to Belfast, as the council boundary expands as a result of local government reform.
"If you're one of these businesses, why not join us for this special lunch at City Hall on March 4 to find out about the support we offer to businesses and have the chance to network with a range of businesses and organisations across the city."
