More Than 400 New Jobs Announced By Kainos

More than 400 new jobs are to be created by Belfast-based IT firm Kainos.

The company has announced that 403 new jobs will be created as part of a "major expansion".

A number of the new roles are understood to be based in L'Derry.

The company, which was founded some 30 years ago, currently employs more than 700 people in Northern Ireland, the UK and Poland.

An insurance company in Newtownards is set to create 40 new jobs, it has been revealed. Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has announced that insurance underwriting agency Midas Underwriting will create the jobs, supported by Invest Northern Ireland through the Jobs Fund.

Around 100 new jobs are to be created at a call centre in Bangor, County Down. The MM Group announced on Thursday evening that the full time, permanent jobs would be created at its premises in Bangor.

Northern Ireland fit out specialist Mivan has announced a major recruitment drive following a host of new orders. The Antrim-based firm will create 100 new jobs, with the first Recruitment Open Day taking place on Saturday 28 January from 10am to 3pm at Mivan's headquarters in Antrim.
