Chairperson Appointed To New Education Authority
A Chairperson has been appointed to the new Education Authority.
Sharon O'Connor will take up the post when it is formally established on 1 April.
Ms O'Connor has over 20 years' experience as a Chartered Director, Non-Executive Director, Vice Chair, Committee Chair and Board Member, and in 2009/10 was the Institute of Directors, Public Sector Director of the Year.
Ms O'Connor has been Chief Executive of Derry City Council since 2011. Her contract with Derry City Council terminates on 31 March 2015.

Belfast City Council has announced £15m is to be invested in improving sports pitches across the city. The money will be used to improve playing surfaces, encourage a great use of the facilities and increase excellence in a number of sports. Primark Donates £500,000 To Support Businesses Affected By Fire
Retailer Primark is donating £500,000 to Belfast City Council's City Recovery Investment Fund. The fund is being set up after a number of businesses have been severely affected by the fire at the Bank Buildings which happened over three weeks ago. A cordon remains in place and 14 firms have been closed for up to four months.
