Forensic Experts To Start Digging For 'Disappeared' Joe Lynskey
Forensic experts are to start digging today in a search for one of the so-called Disappeared, who went missing from west Belfast in August 1972.
The IRA has admitted to abducting, killing and burying Mr Joe Lynskey almost 40 years ago.
Investigators have narrowed the search for Mr Lynskey to 15 acres of bogland at Coghalstown in Co Meath.
Lead forensic expert Geoff Knupfer said: "We have good reason to believe that we are in the right area and that his remains lie somewhere in the six hectares (15 acres) site but while the terrain is not as rough as at Oristown where we found Brendan Megraw in October last year we still have a difficult and complex task ahead of us.
"We are satisfied that the time is right to bring in our team of forensic archaeologists to start the search beneath the surface."
Contractors have been bring specialist equipment into the site over the last few days.
To date the remains of 10 people have been recovered.

Second man charged with musician murder
A second man has been charged in connection with the murder of a musician in Londonderry last month. Anthony Fahy, 18, from Ashmore House on Northland Road, Derry, is the second person to be charged with the murder of James Gilchrist, 62, on Wednesday 28 September. Mr Gilchrist's body was found in the nearby River Foyle just a few hours later.

Man questioned in connection with weekend murder
Police are questioning a man in connection with the murder of a 60-year-old woman in north Belfast at the weekend. The woman's body was found at about 11am on Sunday at a house in Richmond Square, off the Cavehill Road.
