Prince Of Wales Visits NI Peace Centre
The Prince of Wales has visited Northern Ireland's oldest peace and reconciliation centre to conclude his four day visit to Ireland.
The Prince and the Duchess of Cornwall visited the Corrymeela Centre on the North Coast.
The Christian Peace Centre celebrated its 50th anniversary this year.
Corrymeela Executive Director, Colin Craig, said the centre would be an appropriate place to end the royal trip due to the emotional nature of the Royals visit.
The Prince's great-uncle Lord Mountbatten was killed in an IRA bomb blast in 1979.
Mr Craig said: "For many years we have worked with victims of violence on all sides and Prince Charles understands the pain of losing a close family member."
The Prince has previously visited Corrymeela in 1998 during an official visit to Northern Ireland.
At the end of their visit, the Royal couple signed the visitors book and were presented with three Cedar trees.
Before making their way to the peace centre, the Prince and the Duchess of Cornwall visited the National Trust's Mount Stewart in Strangford Lough.
The Royals used a ceremonial sword to cut the cake at the official re-opening of Mount Stewart House, after it underwent an extensive three year refurbishment.
