Two Arrested Over Ongoing Investigation Into Cannabis Supply From Italy
Two people have been arrested in England as part of an ongoing investigation into cannabis supply from Italy.
A man, 35, and a woman, 34, were arrested in the Milton Keynes area this morning, Thursday, on suspicion of drugs trafficking and money laundering offences.
They are being brought to Belfast to be interviewed by the police.
Detective Inspector Andy Dunlop said: "This investigation has been running for the past two months and we are continuing to ensure that anyone suspected of involvement in alleged drugs trafficking and money laundering is made amenable. Detailed investigative work continues into this suspected criminal network. Today’s arrests bring the total number of people arrested in connection with this operation to 17, nine of whom have been charged. Our enquiries are continuing."

Man In Court Over Drugs, Money Laundering And Immigration Offences
A man has been charged with a number of drugs, money laundering and immigration offences. The 51-year-old was arrested following a PSNI operation which also involved police in Sussex and Home Office Immigration officials in London on Monday, 19 February. The suspect was detained and a sum of cash was also seized.

A 37-year-old man has been arrested in Wales in relation to a 1kg drugs find in Northern Ireland in 2011. The arrest is part of an investigation into the seizure of 1kg of high purity cocaine in Bangor, County Down, in February 2011. The drugs are believed to have been sent to Northern Ireland from Ecuador in South America.

Massive Drugs Find After Disqualified Driver Stopped By Police
A large quantity of drugs has been seized by police in Lisburn after they stopped a disqualified driver on New Year's Eve. The discovery was made on Monday 31 December, the same day that officers in the city arrested two people after a gun and suspected Class A drugs were found during three searches in the area.
