Hastings Hotels Announce Windsor House Purchase
Hastings Hotels have announced the purchase of one of Ireland's tallest buildings, Windsor House in Belfast.
Built in 1974, the hotel group has bought the building for £6.5m and intends to submit a planning application for a new "hotel of major city international quality".
Award winning Belfast Architects WDR & RT Taggarts have been engaged to develop the designs.
It is understood that up to 150 jobs will be created in the hospitality sector when the new hotel, already named the Grand Central, is complete.
