Delivery Driver Robbed In Coleraine

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Coleraine on Saturday, 04 July.

A delivery driver was approached by two men in Oakvale Park at around 2.25am.

He was ordered to hand over money and the pair made off in the direction of the playing fields.

One of the men was carrying what is believed to have been a firearm and the other man was armed with a knife. A third male was observed in alleyway close by.

The two men who robbed are described as being 6'1" and 5' 10" tall. One was wearing a red and black jacket with the hood up and had a white coloured scarf over his face. The second male was wearing a navy jacket with a red stripe and a dark coloured scarf up over his face. There is no description available of the third man.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

The man is accused of assault causing harm, coercive control, contravention of a safety order, theft, and possession of a weapon. Three Men Sought Following Robbery

At around 6pm on Tuesday (4 March), three men entered the premises, understood to be Lidl, at Highfield Park. Two men are due to appear in Newry Magistrates Court on a number of charges connected with money laundering. On Wednesday £700,000 was seized in both sterling and euro by police as part of an investigation. A third person was released on police bail pending further police inquiries.

Carryduff Man Assaulted At Home
A man has been assaulted by a number of masked men at his home in Carryduff. The incident occurred at about 02:00 on Wednesday morning when the 32-year-old answered a knock to the door of his Alveston Park home and was confronted by a man with a scarf obscuring his face. The man punched the victim a number of times in the face.
