Call For Law Society To Come Before Finance Committee Inquiry

The Law Society is being urged to co-operate with an inquiry into allegations made by Mick Wallace in the Dáil last week.

Sinn Féin claims the public statements from the Law Society have "added to the confusion" surrounding the allegations.

MLA Daithí McKay has called for the Law Society to accept the invitation to come before the Finance Committee inquiry as soon as possible.

He said: "It would be helpful if they explained what investigations they have carried out in relation to those involved in these transactions.

"I repeat the call for anyone with information which may shed light on these transactions to make themselves available to the Finance Committee inquiry."
