Business insurance crisis talks to take place in Belfast
The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) is to meet with the Northern Ireland Affairs Select Committee on its visit to Belfast tomorrow to discuss, what it believes, is a growing insurance crisis in the province.
The FSB said the ensuing crisis over high insurance premiums could cripple thousands of small businesses and the loss of thousands of jobs.
FSB Policy Chairman, Wilfred Mitchell said: “We welcome this opportunity to meet with the committee to outline our concerns about the ridiculously high cost of Insurance Premiums for Small Businesses in Northern Ireland.
“Unless the Government take urgent action, thousands of jobs and small businesses are at risk. We will be hoping to gain the support of the committee for our campaign and its objectives.”
The delegation will include Wilfred Mitchell, Policy Chairman, Glyn Roberts, Parliamentary Officer and John Gillis FSB Insurance Committee.
