Westcott Officially Opens In Lisburn
Wescott Coatings and Training Services Ltd has officially opened in Lisburn.
The company, which delivers a wide range of specialist surface preparation and industrial blasting and painting services, officially opened its premises last week at Rathdown Close, Lissue Industrial Estate, and is focused on creating local jobs through offering accredited training courses leading to progressive career opportunities filling on and off-shore contracts.
Chairman of the Lisburn & Castlereagh Council's Development Committee, Alderman Allan Ewart, attended the opening event and said: "We are very excited that Wescott has chosen Lisburn as the location of its Northern Ireland training facility. I acknowledge the vision this company has of creating employment opportunities and developing within our local economy mirrors the outlook of the Council. Wescott joins a long list of first-class businesses that have chosen Lisburn as their base. Lisburn is ideally located to reach a wide catchment of customers, suppliers and employees and is perfectly placed for trade both sides of the border, throughout Europe and indeed worldwide. As well as excellent infrastructure we have great schools, good broadband provision and a business-friendly support culture that operates throughout the Council and other local agencies. Wescott is a perfect example of a business seizing the opportunities that the renewable energy sector presents and on behalf of the Council I wish Wescott every success in its new venture."
