Teenage Girl Seriously Injured And PSNI Officers Attacked In North Belfast
A teenage girl has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in north Belfast.
Eight PSNI officers were also injured after being attacked by bricks and bolts on the Twelfth night.
The 16-year-old got trapped underneath the car, which was driving out of control, on the Crumlin Road, it is understood.
The Orange Order condemned the violence and appealed for calm.
In total, eight officers were injured including an Inspector who had to be dragged from the frontline in Woodvale, and a second officer who had to have twelve stitches to a finger after being bitten during an assault.
First Minister Peter Robinson MLA also condemned the violence.
"This evening's violence and attacks in North Belfast on PSNI officers as they go about their duty trying to keep the peace is wrong and cannot be justified regardless of the frustrations or the cause. Such behaviour is wrong and will be condemned by all right thinking people.
"The PSNI is tasked with upholding the rule of law and it is vital that those involved in such riotous activity cease and are held accountable. They do a massive disservice to the wider cause they claim to support.
"My thoughts and prayers are with all those who have been injured whilst serving the public as well as the young girl who has been injured in vehicle collision.
"Orangemen and supporters were attacked whilst returning from Twelfth demonstrations this evening and such attacks again demonstrate the intolerance of those who are not prepared to respect and build understanding of cultural diversity."

Police officers injured in north Belfast trouble
Eighteen police officers have been injured during disturbances between rival factions in north Belfast on Sunday. The trouble started just before 4pm when, it is understood, a number of people clashed on the Crumlin Road, following the outcome of the Scottish Premier League which saw Rangers clinch the title ahead of Old Firm rivals Celtic.

Ards Man Fined For Dumping Waste At Bonfire Site
A 51-year-old has been fined for bonfire-related waste offences at Newtownards Magistrates' Court. Gareth Gill, of Abbot's Walk, Newtownards pleaded guilty to waste offences relating to a bonfire next to the electrical sub-station on the Circular Road in the town.

Two police officers have been injured after a stolen car crashed into their vehicle in west Belfast. A silver Volkswagen, which had been reported stolen in the Castlereagh area in connection with a creeper style burglary on Wednesday morning, collided with the PSNI vehicle in the Cullingtree area just before 9.45pm on Wednesday, 15 February.

Men Killed In Fermanagh Road Collision
An 18 and a 22-year-old man have been killed in a road collision on Sunday afternoon in Fermanagh. The men were travelling in a car on the Pettigo Road when the crash happened at about 16:30. The road remained closed on Sunday night.
