Two Men Arrested Following Cannabis Find In Cookstown

Two men have been arrested following a suspected cannabis find, worth an estimated street value of £200,000, in Cookstown.

Police discovered the cannabis factory at a house in the Keenaghan Road area on Tuesday.

A quantity of herbal cannabis and a number of suspected cannabis plants in various stages of growth were seized.

Detective Sergeant Martin McAuley said: "The two men have both been arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply and cultivating cannabis. Both currently remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries."

Men Sentenced Following PCTF Investigation
Two men have been sentenced at Belfast Crown Court for a number of drug-related offences, following an investigation by the Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF). James Spiers, aged 23 years, was convicted of possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply, namely cannabis.
