Appeal For Witnesses Over Use Of Plastic Bullets During Riots In North Belfast

The Police Ombudsman is appealing for witnesses after the PSNI's use of plastic bullets during the rioting in north Belfast last week.

Five rounds were discharged close to Twaddell Avenue in the Woodvale area shortly before 9.40pm.

A spokesman said: "We are keen to get a clear understanding of the circumstances in which the rounds were fired and would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened."

Appeal For Witnesses To North Belfast Assault
Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following a report of an assault on a man in north Belfast on Tuesday 29 June. Issuing the appeal, Detective Sergeant Kitchen said: "A report was received at approximately 4.45pm that the man had been driving on Skegoneill Avenue, when an unknown male in a red car forced him to come to a stop.

Appeal For Witnesses And Information On North Belfast Armed Robbery
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following the report of an armed robbery at premises in the Duncairn Gardens area of Belfast yesterday, Wednesday, 27 February. At approximately 4.45pm police received a report that two men who had their faces covered and armed with knives forced open the door of the premises.

Police Appeal For Witnesses To North Belfast Fire
The PSNI have issued an appeal for witnesses following an arson attack on a property in north Belfast on Wednesday 05 September. Shortly before 9.45am it was reported that an unoccupied flat on Woodland Avenue was on fire. It is believed that entry had been gained to the property before the fire started in the kitchen area.

Police Appeal For Witnesses After Man Attacked In North Belfast
Police have appealed for information after a man was found with a serious head injury in the Premier Drive area of north Belfast at the weekend. The 53-year-old man was found at about 02.30 on Saturday morning. The victim remains in hospital.

Appeal For Information On North Belfast Arson Attack
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following an arson attack on a house in north Belfast on the evening of Sunday 27 August. According to police, at approximately 10pm, they received a report that the front door of a property in the Cliftonpark Avenue area had been set on fire.
