PSNI To Work With Spanish Police Following Death Of Alan Drennan

The PSNI is working with Spanish police following the death of Alan Drennan.

Mr Drennan, 21, from Newtownabbey, was found dead in his hotel room in Ibiza on Sunday.

PSNI Superintendent Kevin Geddes said: "Detectives from Serious Crime Branch are aware of the death of Alan Drennan in Ibiza and will be speaking with his family.

"We will gather any relevant evidence and speak to any potential witnesses to assist in the investigation being carried out by the Spanish police."

Second Post-Mortem To Be Carried Out On Body Of Alan Drennan
A second post-mortem examination is to be carried out on the body of a County Antrim man who died in Ibiza more than a week ago. Alan Drennan, 21, was found dead in his hotel room on 19 July, less than 24 hours after arriving on the island. The exact circumstances of his death are still unclear, however friends have claimed he was beaten by police.
