Diary Farmers Protest Stormont

Some 200 farmers have staged a protest outside Stormont over diary prices as the agriculture and rural development committee held a special meeting to discuss the dairy farming crisis.

According to reports the farmers claimed that what they are being paid for their milk "is well below the cost of producing it".

The committee heard from farmers, the industry, the Ulster Farmers' Union (UFU) and the agriculture minister.

Belfast Building Fire Deliberate – NIFRS

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) have said a fire at a derelict building in Belfast was started deliberately.

The fire services was called to the blaze at 13:00, bring the fire under control within an hour.

NIFRS said that the cause of the fire was being investigated but it is currently being treated as deliberate.

Police Warn Of Traffic Delays During pride Parade

The PSNI have said that they will aim to keep traffic moving during Saturday's Belfast Pride Parade, but warned motorists to expect some delays.

Thousands of people are expected to come into Belfast city centre for the 25th annual Pride Parade, scheduled to move through the city from midday.

The parade will leave Queen’s Square at 12 noon, travel along High Street, Bridge Street, Waring Street, Donegall Street, Royal Avenue, Donegall Place, Donegall Square North, Donegall Square East, Donegall Square South, Howard Street, Upper Queen Street, Queen Street, Castle Street, Castle Place, move along High Street again before returning to Queen’s Square for dispersal at approximately 1.30pm.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.
