Gordon Lyons To Replace Sammy Wilson As MLA For East Antrim
Larne Councillor Gordon Lyons is to replace Sammy Wilson as MLA for East Antrim, the DUP has announced.
DUP Leader Peter Robinson said: "Whilst we will miss Sammy's experience and expertise within the Assembly I am delighted to welcome Gordon as part of our Assembly team.
"As a representative for the Coast Road DEA he has taken a lead within the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council on many issues and I know that he will be a valuable asset to our Assembly Group."
Mr Lyons said: "It is a huge honour and a privilege to have been selected to replace Sammy as an MLA for East Antrim. Having served part of the constituency in Council I look forward now to being able to work for and represent people right across the constituency."

DUP Team Treads Gobbins Path
Two Executive Ministers were treading the same path when they visited the historic Gobbins Cliff Path in Islandmagee, which is to be refurbished. DUP colleagues, the Stormont Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster and the NI Finance Minister Sammy Wilson toured the site of the multi-million project.

140 Jobs To Be Cut At Caterpillar
Construction equipment manufacturer Caterpillar is to axe 140 jobs from its factories in Larne, Monkstown and west Belfast. Alliance East Antrim MLA, Stewart Dickson, said he is disappointed at the job losses and his thoughts are with the workers and their families. He said: "I hope that the job losses can be addressed through voluntary redundancy.

Funds Row Clouds MLA's Summer Break
There's storm clouds gathering over Stormont today as it looks increasingly likely the Assembly's Executive will recall MLAs next week - despite being on their summer adjournment. Sinn Féin claim they are being forced to bring MLAs back to Stormont, (pictured here by Ada Cruz Tienda) in order to discuss the quarterly funding re-allocation.
