Sinn Féin To Meet With PSNI Over Davison And McGuigan Murders
Sinn Féin MLA Gerry Kelly is to meet with the PSNI to discuss their ongoing investigations into the murders of Gerard Davison and Kevin McGuigan.
Mr Davison was shot and killed in the Markets areas of Belfast on Tuesday, 05 May.
Mr McGuigan was shot and killed at his home in east Belfast earlier this month.
Describing the two murders as "wrong", which had "nothing to do with republicanism", Mr Kelly said that the killings "need to stop now".
"The PSNI have said that the Action Against Drugs group threatened to kill anyone involved in the killing of Gerard Davison only days before the killing of Kevin McGuigan," Mr Kelly Said.
"I am on record as saying, and I repeat, this is a criminal gang which has been involved in extortion, intimidation and murder in nationalist communities.
"The PSNI need to get on with their investigation and bring to justice those responsible for the killing and I call again on people with information on these killings to bring it forward to the police.
"I will meeting with the PSNI to discuss this."
