Holywood PSNI station downgraded to 'part-time' status
Police have confirmed that Holywood police station is to go part-time in order to free up more of its officers.
The station will now operate on restricted opening hours from the end of September between 8am in the morning until 8pm in the evening.
Bangor police station will deal with calls during the station's closing hours from September 29.
The PSNI said that the move to change the status of the Holywood station was part of planned security measures to increase patrols on the streets.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Woman Arrested In Newtownabbey Released On Bail
A 37-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office has been released on police bail. The woman was detained by officers from the Paramilitary Crime Taskforce in the Newtownabbey area on Thursday, 07 December. She was questioned at Antrim Police Station, however she has been released on bail.

New Police Station Opens In Co Down
A new police station in Downpatrick, Co Down, has officially opened. The new station was developed to replace the Irish Street PSNI Station. The new Downpatrick PSNI Station is located on the northwest corner of the old Downshire Hospital on the Ardglass Road.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of George Gilmore
A 39-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of George Gilmore. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. The suspect was detained in Co Antrim on Wednesday, 12 April, and is being questioned at Musgrave police station.
